Not necessarily.

Prominence Bank may act as the receiving institution for an authenticated banking communication without being a party to the underlying commercial agreement between the account holder and the remitter.

Receiving and recording the instrument does not cause Prominence Bank to assume the remitter’s obligations or guarantee the commercial arrangement between the parties.
